The Trading Standards Institute represents the interests of Trading Standards professionals and has a long and proud history of ensuring that the views of its members are well represented at the highest level of government, both nationally and internationally.

Black Pig was appointed as web design and development partner by Trading Standards for the national 'CEdRIC' Project (Consumer Education Resource and Information Centre).

This online ‘Community Information Centre’ is now open for business, providing a consumer education framework for adults covering a wide range of subjects offering teaching notes, activity ideas, and other resources online.

As a mark of the sites success it received the coveted Brindley Medal from Trading Standards Institute for Excellence.

Backed by a number of national bodies including the National Consumer Council, the Financial Services Authority, and the Department for Trade and Industry, the award winning Ask Cedric (Consumer Education Resource and Information Centre) website is a recognised network of educational resources on the internet designed to form part of the Government’s National Grid for Learning.
