LDS Test and Measurement is a leader in product validation systems. Headquartered in Royston, with offices worldwide, it is recognised for its integrated vibration test and measurement equipment for applications in the aerospace, defence, automotive, machinery, electrical and electronics markets.

LDS approached Black Pig to create a website specifically for the launch of its new Genesis 5i data acquisition system. The Genesis 5i is designed to provide continuous data recording to disk at high aggregate speeds, replacing and superseding the former Odyssey.

The Genesis 5i website was designed by Black Pig to be highly interactive, while introducing the many benefits of this impressive new system. On the overview page, a 3D animation was created which provides a 360º view of the Genesis 5i with hotspots highlighting the key features and popup text boxes with more information. In addition to this, there is a video embedded on the page showing the Genesis 5i undergoing testing to prove it can withstand a high level of shock and vibration while recording data perfectly.

Black Pig also created a particularly striking way to visualise exactly how the Genesis 5i compares to the Odyssey. The animation shows the former product literally being transformed into the new Genesis 5i, which demonstrates the advances made both in terms of its technical capabilities as well as the changes to its physical appearance.
