Black Pig is pleased to announce that its 10th birthday celebratory stunt, a 240 meter wide crop circle produced last July, has been short listed for an award by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
The short listed award is in the Business and Trade category of the CIPR’s regional PRide Awards and the winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on the 5th December 2007.
The crop circle itself caused a great stir when it was unveiled in July 2006 with the media, bloggers and commuters commenting and congratulating on the spectacle opposite junction 9 on the M11 near Great Chesterford.
Colin Farrington, CIPR Director General and Chairman of the Judges, said: “To reach the PRide Awards short list is a remarkable achievement as year on year the quantity and quality of entries increases and competition gets stronger. The finalists are testament to the good PR work going on outside of London and across sectors. They should feel proud of their achievement and their chosen profession’s invaluable contribution to business and society.”
Sarah-Jane Higgins, Managing Director of Black Pig comments:
“We’re all delighted with the news and are already eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners in December.”
“The ‘crop pig’ was great fun to produce and I’m pleased for the team that the attention it received has been acknowledged by the CIPR for its achievement.”

Congratulations on winning the Gold award!
Congratulations Black Pig, looks like you’ve done it again!
